How to do it

Sit on the leverage machine with your chest pressed firmly against the pad and grip the handles at your sides. Raise the handles out to the sides until your arms reach shoulder height, leading with your elbows, then lower under control.

  1. 1Side delts burning as you lift the arms to shoulder height
  2. 2Chest pad keeping your torso still so the delts do the work
  3. 3A slight bend in the elbows leading the movement

Common mistakes

  • Shrugging your shoulders up toward your ears
  • Pushing off the pad or using body momentum
