How to do it

Step on a resistance band and grip both ends. Raise your arms straight in front to shoulder height, then lower.

  1. 1Step on the band and raise your arms straight in front of you to shoulder height; you should feel your front delts activating
  2. 2Keep your palms down and a slight bend in your elbows as you lift
  3. 3Engage your core and keep your shoulders down as you lower with control

Common mistakes

  • Don't swing your arms or lift higher than shoulder level
  • Avoid shrugging your shoulders or leaning back to get the band up
  • Don't lock your elbows, maintain a soft bend throughout
