How to do it

Stand beside a landmine bar with the end loaded. Grip the end of the bar with the near hand and, keeping a slight bend in your elbow, raise the bar out to the side up to shoulder height, then lower it under control.

  1. 1Feel your side delt do the work as you raise the bar
  2. 2Keep a slight bend in your elbow and lead with the elbow
  3. 3Stay tall and stable through your torso each rep

Common mistakes

  • Don't swing your body or use momentum to lift
  • Avoid shrugging your shoulder up toward your ear
  • Don't raise above shoulder height; stop at parallel
