How to do it

Sit at a preacher bench with the back of your upper arms resting on the pad. Hold an EZ bar with an overhand grip on the angled bends, palms facing down. Curl the bar up toward your shoulders by flexing your elbows, then lower it slowly until your arms are nearly straight. The pronated grip targets your forearms and brachialis.

  1. 1Feel your forearms and brachialis work hard with the palms-down grip
  2. 2Keep the back of your arms flat on the pad throughout
  3. 3Lower slowly until nearly straight to load the stretch

Common mistakes

  • Don't let your elbows lift off the pad as you curl
  • Avoid bouncing out of the bottom or fully locking out hard
  • Don't let your wrists bend under the load
