How to do it

Move into the stretch position slowly until you feel a gentle pull on the target muscle. Hold the stretch while breathing deeply, avoiding any bouncing or pain.

  1. 1Extend your arm with palm down and gently pull your fingers back until you feel a stretch along the underside of your forearm
  2. 2Keep your shoulder relaxed and breathe deeply as you hold the stretch
  3. 3You should feel a mild pulling sensation but no sharp pain

Common mistakes

  • Don't force the stretch or bounce, ease into it gradually
  • Avoid twisting your wrist or applying pressure that causes discomfort
  • Don't hold your breath; breathing helps you relax and deepen the stretch
