How to do it

Set up in a push-up position with your shins on a stability ball and hands under your shoulders. Perform a push-up, then drive your hips up toward the ceiling, rolling the ball toward your hands into a pike. Lower your hips back to a plank and repeat the press and pike.

  1. 1Feel your shoulders and chest work on the push-up portion
  2. 2Use your core to pull your hips up over your shoulders in the pike
  3. 3Keep your legs straight and move slowly to control the ball

Common mistakes

  • Do not let your hips sag during the push-up
  • Avoid bending your knees to cheat the pike
  • Do not let the ball roll away from you uncontrolled
