How to do it
Sit tall on a bench holding one dumbbell with a neutral or overhand grip, arm hanging at your side. Raise the dumbbell straight out in front of you to about shoulder height, keeping a slight bend in the elbow, then lower it under control. Finish the set, then switch arms.
