How to do it

Sit on a bench and rest your forearms on your thighs with your wrists just past your knees, gripping a barbell with palms facing down. Let the bar roll down toward your fingertips, then curl your wrists up by extending them as high as you can. Lower slowly and repeat.

  1. 1The top of your forearms working as your wrists lift
  2. 2Forearms staying flat and locked on your thighs
  3. 3A controlled stretch as the bar lowers

Common mistakes

  • Moving your elbows or arms to help
  • Using a heavy load that shortens the range
  • Letting the bar drop fast at the bottom
