Farthest yet means this is the longest distance you have done for that kind of activity.

Each kind keeps its own record. A ride never competes with a run, so a long ride does not take anything away from your running record.

Your first ever session of a kind sets the number, but it does not get the gold flag. There was nothing to beat yet. The flag arrives the next time you go further than that.
