How to do it
Stand holding a wrist roller bar with both hands, arms extended out in front at shoulder height. Roll the weight up by winding the cord around the bar one wrist turn at a time, then reverse and lower it slowly back down under control.
- 1Forearm flexors and extensors burning as you wind the cord
- 2Only your wrists and hands working; everything else stays locked
- 3Steady tension as you lower the weight back down
Common mistakes
- Don't drop your arms as fatigue sets in; keep them out front
- Avoid letting the weight unwind quickly on the way down
- Don't swing your body or use your shoulders to assist

The wrist roller mainly works the forearms.
