How to do it
Stand tall with your arms extended out to your sides at shoulder height or held comfortably in front of you. Keeping the rest of your body still, rotate both wrists in smooth circles for the prescribed reps, then reverse direction.
- 1Feel the movement around your wrists and forearms as you draw smooth circles with your hands
- 2Keep the circles controlled and even rather than flicking through the range
- 3Let the wrists warm up gradually before making the circles larger
Common mistakes
- Do not tense your shoulders or turn the movement into big arm circles
- Avoid forcing the wrists through painful ranges or snapping the motion
- Do not rush; smooth circles are more useful than fast ones
