How to do it
Step onto the TrueForm runner, a curved manual treadmill. Begin walking forward to set the belt in motion, then accelerate into a run by driving your feet back on the curved surface. Maintain an upright posture with a slight forward lean and use a mid-foot strike to keep the belt moving. Control the speed by adjusting your effort; the belt moves faster as you run harder. Slow your pace to reduce speed before stepping off.
- 1Feel your legs and lungs working as you run on the self-powered treadmill
- 2Keep your posture upright and stride natural
- 3Engage your glutes and hamstrings to pull the belt
Common mistakes
- Avoid leaning too far forward or overstriding
- Don't grip the handles; use your arms naturally
- Avoid letting your feet slap; stay light on your feet
