How to do it
Stand or sit tall with your arms relaxed at your sides. Make a tight fist and squeeze hard, then curl your wrists up and hold the contraction before slowly releasing. Drive the squeeze through your hand and forearm on every rep.
- 1Forearms and grip burning as you clench the fist
- 2A hard squeeze held at the top of each rep
- 3Tension staying in the wrist and hand, not the shoulders
Common mistakes
- Rushing the reps instead of squeezing slowly
- Letting your shoulders or arms tense up
- Releasing the fist before you feel the contraction
Muscles worked
The tight fist lift mainly works the forearms.
