How to do it

Set TRX straps to mid-length and face away from the anchor, holding a handle in each hand overhead with elbows bent beside your ears. Lean your weight onto the straps, then extend your elbows to press your body back up to standing, keeping the upper arms still.

  1. 1The triceps extending the elbows to drive you up
  2. 2A straight, braced body from head to heels
  3. 3Your upper arms staying fixed beside your head

Common mistakes

  • Letting the hips sag or pike during the press
  • Flaring the elbows wide instead of forward
  • Using the shoulders to bail you out at the bottom
