How to do it
Stand tall holding a stick in front of your thighs with both hands, palms down and a shoulder-width grip. Keeping your arms straight, raise the stick out in front of you to shoulder height, then lower it under control. You should feel your front delts working as you lift.

Common mistakes
- Swinging the stick or lifting above shoulder level
- Shrugging your shoulders or leaning back to heave it up
