How to do it
Step one foot out to the side like a low-impact jumping jack while raising both arms straight in front of you to shoulder height. Step back in and lower your arms, then repeat to the other side in a continuous rhythm.
- 1Feel your front delts lifting as your arms rise to shoulder height
- 2Keep a slight bend in your elbows and your palms facing down
- 3Stay light on your feet and time the arm raise with each step out
Common mistakes
- Do not swing your arms above shoulder level or use momentum
- Avoid shrugging your shoulders or leaning back as you raise
- Do not stomp your feet; keep the steps light and controlled
