How to do it
Sit tall on a sturdy chair with your core engaged and fists raised near your chin. Throw alternating uppercut punches, driving each fist upward in front of you while rotating slightly through your trunk.
- 1Feel your shoulders and core drive each fist up and through
- 2Rotate slightly through your trunk to power the punch
- 3Keep your chin tucked and your guard up between punches
Common mistakes
- Don't lean back or slump into the chair
- Avoid swinging wildly; keep each punch controlled
- Don't drop your non-punching hand away from your guard
