How to do it
Face away from the anchor with a TRX handle in each hand and your arms extended in front at chest height, leaning forward against the straps. Keeping your elbows high, press your hands forward and down to drive your body back upright, feeling the triceps extend, then return under control.
- 1Triceps extending to press your body back up
- 2Elbows staying high and tight as you straighten the arms
- 3A rigid plank from heels to head throughout
Common mistakes
- Letting your hips sag or pike
- Flaring your elbows out to the sides
- Letting the handles wander and lose tension
Muscles worked
The ring reverse push-up mainly works the triceps, with the lower abs, forearms, mid chest, upper abs, obliques, and front delts assisting.
