How to do it
Set your feet on rings and your hands on raised blocks, then pike your hips high so your torso is near vertical in a deficit. Lower your head between your hands by bending the elbows, sinking past hand level, then press explosively back up.
- 1Feel your shoulders and triceps drive the press from the deep stretch
- 2Keep your hips piked high and core tight throughout
- 3Press straight through the palms back to a tall finish
Common mistakes
- Avoid flaring the elbows wide out to the sides
- Do not let the hips drop out of the piked position
- Avoid losing control of the rings; keep the feet steady
