How to do it
Anchor a resistance band at about shoulder height and grip it so your elbows point forward in a front rack position. Let the band gently pull your wrists and elbows up and back, opening the shoulders and wrists into the rack. Settle into the stretch and breathe, keeping your torso tall.
- 1A stretch opening through the shoulders, wrists, and triceps
- 2Elbows lifting high as the band assists the rack position
- 3Chest staying tall and ribs down as you settle in
Common mistakes
- Letting the band yank you into end range too quickly
- Shrugging the shoulders up toward the ears
- Arching the lower back to chase more range
