How to do it
Hold a wrist roller bar in front of you with both hands, arms extended at shoulder height and a weight hanging from the cord. Keeping your thumbs up in a neutral grip, roll the bar to wind the cord and lift the weight up to the bar. Once it reaches the top, slowly reverse the rolling to lower it back down under control.
- 1Feel your forearms burn as you wind the cord
- 2Keep your arms steady and let only your wrists do the rolling
- 3Control the lowering just as hard as the lifting
Common mistakes
- Do not drop your arms as they fatigue; hold them up
- Avoid swinging the weight to gain momentum
- Do not let the weight free fall on the way down
