How to do it
Sit in the lever triceps extension machine with your upper arms resting on the pad and grip the handles. Extend your arms by straightening your elbows against the resistance, then return under control without letting the weight pull you back.
- 1Your triceps driving the handles down as you straighten your elbows
- 2Your upper arms staying fixed on the pad throughout
- 3A controlled return that keeps tension on the triceps
Common mistakes
- Do not let your elbows flare or lift off the pad
- Avoid using your shoulders or leaning in to push the weight
- Do not let the handles snap back at the top of the return
