How to do it
Hold a kettlebell in the front rack on one side, elbow tucked. Dip at the knees, then explosively drive through your legs to launch the bell overhead, dropping into a slight knee bend to catch it with a locked-out arm. Stand tall to finish, then lower back to the rack.
- 1Feel the leg drive launch the bell off your shoulder
- 2Catch the bell overhead with a locked arm and active shoulder
- 3Keep your core braced to stay vertical under the load
Common mistakes
- Don't press the bell up with your arm; use the leg drive
- Avoid arching your lower back to muscle the bell overhead
- Don't catch on a soft, unlocked elbow
