How to do it
Stand tall holding a kettlebell in front of your thighs with both hands or one hand, palms facing your body. Raise the kettlebell straight in front of you to shoulder height, keeping a slight bend in your elbows, then lower it under control.
- 1Raise the kettlebell to shoulder height and feel your front delts working
- 2Keep a slight bend in your elbows as you lift
- 3Engage your core and keep your shoulders down as you lower with control
Common mistakes
- Don't swing the kettlebell or lift higher than shoulder level
- Avoid shrugging your shoulders or leaning back to heave it up
- Don't lock your elbows; keep a soft bend throughout
