How to do it
Kick up into a handstand with your heels resting against the wall and your hands shoulder-width on the floor. Stack your hips over your shoulders and brace hard, then lift one hand to tap the opposite shoulder while balancing on the other arm. Place the hand back down and alternate taps, keeping your body tight and straight.
- 1Your shoulders and triceps holding you up and stabilizing each tap
- 2Your core and glutes locked tight to keep a straight line
- 3The supporting arm gripping the floor as weight shifts during each tap
Common mistakes
- Don't arch your lower back or let your hips sag away from the wall
- Avoid rushing the taps; shift weight slowly and stay controlled
- Don't collapse through your wrists or let the supporting elbow bend
