How to do it
Stand on one foot holding a dumbbell in the hand on the same side, using your free hand on a wall or rail for balance. Rise up onto the ball of your foot, squeezing your calf hard at the top, then lower slowly for a full stretch.
- 1Drive through the ball of your foot and squeeze your calf at the top
- 2Lower slowly to feel a deep stretch at the bottom
- 3Use your free hand only for light balance, not to lift
Common mistakes
- Don't bounce at the bottom or rush the reps
