How to do it
Place your feet on an elevated surface and walk your hands back into a pike so your hips are high and your weight stacks over your shoulders. Form a diamond with your hands under your face, lower the crown of your head toward them, then press back up.
- 1Your shoulders carrying most of the load from the piked angle
- 2Your triceps working hard from the close diamond hand position
- 3Your core bracing to hold the inverted V shape
Common mistakes
- Letting your hips drop so it becomes a flat push-up
- Flaring your elbows wide; keep them tracking close
- Crashing your head down instead of lowering with control
