How to do it

Stand in a boxing stance with your hands up. Drive off your rear foot, rotate your hip and torso, and extend your right arm straight across to the target, then snap back to guard.

Common mistakes

  • Don't drop your lead hand as you punch
  • Avoid lunging forward off balance or overreaching
  • Don't throw with just your arm; let the hip rotation drive the cross
