How to do it
Stand on one leg with the foot planted on the center of a Bosu ball, dome up, hands behind your head or across your chest. Brace your core and hinge at the hip, pushing your butt back until your torso is near parallel to the floor while your free leg extends behind you. Drive your hips forward to stand tall, balancing on the unstable surface throughout.
- 1A stretch through the hamstring and glute of your standing leg as you
- 2hinge
- 3Your lower back and core holding a flat, braced spine
- 4Your ankle and foot gripping the dome to stay balanced
Common mistakes
- Don't round your lower back; hinge from the hips, not the spine
- Avoid locking out the standing knee; keep a soft bend
- Don't let your hips rotate open as you fold forward
