How to do it

Set up in a half-kneeling position facing the rope anchor, one knee down and the other foot planted in front. Grip a rope end in each hand and drive alternating or simultaneous waves down the ropes, keeping your torso tall and core locked to resist tipping.

  1. 1Feel your shoulders and arms generating fast, continuous waves
  2. 2Brace your core hard to stay upright and stable in the kneeling stance
  3. 3Keep a steady breathing rhythm as your conditioning ramps up

Common mistakes

  • Don't let your torso rock or twist to throw the ropes
  • Avoid letting your hips collapse or sag out of the half-kneeling base
  • Don't grip so tight that your forearms gas out before your shoulders
