How to do it

Lie back on an incline bench holding a barbell with a narrow grip, arms extended over your shoulders. Keep your upper arms fixed and bend at the elbows to lower the bar toward the top of your head, then extend your elbows to press the bar back up. Move only at the elbow joint.

  1. 1Feel your triceps stretch and load as you lower the bar
  2. 2Keep your upper arms locked in place pointing back
  3. 3Drive through your triceps to extend the elbows

Common mistakes

  • Do not let your elbows flare out wide
