How to do it
Stand on a resistance band with both feet and hold the ends in front of you with an overhand grip. Pull the band straight up toward your collarbone by leading with your elbows, keeping the band close to your body, then lower under control.

Common mistakes
- Don't shrug your shoulders up toward your ears
- Avoid swinging your torso to start the pull
- Don't pull your elbows above your shoulders; stop at the top of comfortable range
