How to do it

Start in lunge position with band under front foot, holding other end. Rotate torso and reach arm up on same side as back leg. Return to start and switch sides.

  1. 1Step into a lunge with the band anchored under your front foot and feel a stretch in your hip flexor and hamstring
  2. 2Rotate your torso and reach your arm toward the ceiling to open your thoracic spine and chest
  3. 3The band provides light resistance to deepen the stretch and improve mobility

Common mistakes

  • Don't let your front knee cave inward or your heel lift off the ground
  • Avoid rushing through the sequence; hold each position long enough to feel the stretch
  • Don't force the rotation or overstretch, move within your comfortable range
