How to do it
Begin in a lunge, bring one hand to the ground, rotate the opposite arm toward the sky, then alternate sides.
- 1Feel a stretch through your hip flexors, hamstrings, and groin as you lunge and reach
- 2Keep your chest lifted and spine long to deepen the stretch
- 3Engage your core to stabilize and breathe deeply
Common mistakes
- Avoid collapsing your torso toward the ground
- Don't let your front knee track inward
- Avoid rushing; hold each portion of the stretch to feel it
