How to do it
Stand a couple of feet from a wall with it to your side. Step out into a side lunge, bending one knee and pushing your hips back while keeping the other leg straight. As you lunge, rotate your torso toward the wall, reaching across your body, then return to standing and repeat. Switch sides after your reps.
- 1Feel the stretch and load in the bent leg's glute and inner thigh
- 2Rotate through your mid-back as you reach across
- 3Keep your trailing leg straight and foot planted
Common mistakes
- Do not let the bent knee collapse inward
- Avoid rounding your back as you rotate
- Do not let your weight drift onto your toes
