How to do it
Set the TRX straps to mid-calf length and place your feet in the foot cradles. Assume a plank position with your hands under your shoulders and body straight. Drive one knee toward your chest while keeping the other leg extended, then quickly switch legs, mimicking a running motion. Continue alternating knees to chest at a steady pace, keeping your hips level and core engaged.
- 1Assume a plank with your feet in the TRX straps and drive one knee toward your chest, feeling your abs and hip flexors engage
- 2Keep your shoulders over your wrists and maintain tension in the straps as you alternate legs
- 3You should feel your core working hard to stabilise your hips and spine
Common mistakes
- Don't allow your hips to sag or pike; maintain a straight line from shoulders to heels
- Avoid swinging your legs with momentum or letting the straps slacken
- Don't hold your breath or round your shoulders; keep a strong plank position
