How to do it

Lean into the TRX handles and brace your core. Press against the handles as if you were doing a Push-up until your arms are fully extended. Lower back in a controlled manner.

  1. 1Maintain a straight line from head to heels and lower yourself under control so you feel your chest stretch
  2. 2Press through the handles while keeping your shoulders down and together, feeling your chest and triceps engage
  3. 3Keep your core tight and glutes squeezed to stabilise your body in the plank position

Common mistakes

  • Don't let your hips sag or pike; your body shouldn't break at the waist
  • Avoid letting the straps rub on your arms or allowing your elbows to flare excessively wide
  • Don't shrug your shoulders toward your ears or allow your wrists to collapse

Muscles worked

The trx chest press mainly works the mid chest, with the triceps, upper chest, lower chest, and front delts assisting.
