How to do it

Lie on your back and rest your heels in the TRX foot cradles with your legs bent and hips off slightly. Curl your hips toward your chest by engaging your lower abs, then lower back down under control. The suspended cradles add an unstable element your core must manage.

  1. 1Press your lower back down and curl your hips toward your chest
  2. 2Feel your lower abs do the work as your tailbone lifts
  3. 3Keep your head and shoulders relaxed and the motion slow

Common mistakes

  • Do not swing your legs or use momentum to lift your hips
  • Avoid arching your lower back or straining your neck
  • Do not let the foot cradles bounce; control both directions

Muscles worked

The suspender reverse crunch mainly works the upper abs and lower abs, with the obliques and hip flexors assisting.
