How to do it
From a fighting stance, pivot on your lead foot and spin your body away from the target while chambering the rear leg. Whip the leg out and snap it back across the target in a hooking motion, striking with the heel, then recover your stance under control.
- 1Hips driving the spin and snapping the leg through
- 2Core rotating fast to generate the whip
- 3Eyes finding the target before the leg lands
Common mistakes
- Losing balance by over-rotating the spin
- Dropping your guard as you turn away
- Leaning the torso back instead of turning the hips
Muscles worked
