How to do it

Lie on your side in the sled press, stacking your hips and placing the top foot on the platform. Unlock the safety and bend the knee to let the platform come in toward your hip, then push through your heel to extend the leg out to the side, driving with your glute and outer hip.

  1. 1Your outer hip and glute driving the platform away
  2. 2The working leg pushing through the whole foot
  3. 3Hips stacked and stable, with the movement coming from the hip

Common mistakes

  • Locking out the knee hard at the top
  • Letting your hips roll back or forward
  • Using too much load and cutting the range short
