How to do it
Sit in the sled leg press with your feet placed high on the platform and shoulder-width apart. Unlock the safeties and lower the platform under control until your hips and knees are deeply bent, then press through your heels to extend your legs. The high foot position shifts the work toward your glutes and hamstrings.
- 1Feel your glutes and hamstrings driving the platform away
- 2Keep your lower back pressed into the seat and knees tracking over your toes
- 3Press through your heels and control the return to a deep stretch
Common mistakes
- Do not lock out your knees or let them collapse inward
- Do not let your hips round off the seat at the bottom
- Do not cut the range short by loading too heavy
