How to do it
Load a sled-style leg press and place the balls of your feet low on the platform with heels hanging off. Keep your legs nearly straight and press the sled away by extending your ankles, then lower under control to feel a stretch.
- 1Feel the burn in your calves as you press through the balls of your feet
- 2Move through a full range, pressing as high as you can
- 3Keep steady tension on your calves without locking your knees
Common mistakes
- Do not bounce at the bottom or let the sled drop
- Avoid letting your heels dip so far they strain the Achilles
- Do not lock out your knees at the top
