How to do it
Load a sled and face away from it with a strap or handle anchored so the resistance pulls behind you at an angle. Stand with the balls of your feet on a slight rise, then press through them to raise your heels against the sled's backward pull, lowering slowly into a stretch.
- 1Your calves contracting as you drive your heels up
- 2A deep stretch at the bottom of each rep
- 3Even pressure across the balls of both feet
Common mistakes
- Bouncing or using momentum off the bottom
- Rolling your ankles inward or outward
- Locking your knees; keep a slight bend
