How to do it
Step out to one side and, as you plant, raise your arms into an L shape with elbows bent and hands up. Step back to center, lowering the arms, then repeat to the other side in a flowing rhythm. Keep your knees soft and your core braced as you move side to side.
- 1Your glutes and outer thighs working on each side step
- 2Your shoulders setting the L position with control
- 3A steady rhythm shifting weight from side to side
Common mistakes
- Letting your knees cave inward as you step
- Shrugging your shoulders up toward your ears
- Rushing the steps and losing your balance
