How to do it

Step out to one side and, as you plant, raise your arms into an L shape with elbows bent and hands up. Step back to center, lowering the arms, then repeat to the other side in a flowing rhythm. Keep your knees soft and your core braced as you move side to side.

  1. 1Your glutes and outer thighs working on each side step
  2. 2Your shoulders setting the L position with control
  3. 3A steady rhythm shifting weight from side to side

Common mistakes

  • Letting your knees cave inward as you step
  • Shrugging your shoulders up toward your ears
  • Rushing the steps and losing your balance
