How to do it

Stay low in an athletic stance and shuffle sideways for a few steps, then transition into driving your knees up high as you continue moving. Keep your hips and shoulders square and pump your arms throughout.

  1. 1Glutes powering each lateral push off
  2. 2Hip flexors driving the knees up high
  3. 3A low, controlled athletic stance throughout

Common mistakes

  • Standing upright and losing the low stance
  • Letting the knees cave inward on the shuffle
  • Crossing your feet instead of staying square
