How to do it
Stand with feet wide apart and toes pointing forward. Shift your weight to one side, bending that knee while keeping the other leg straight, and sink down until you feel a stretch through the inner thigh of the straight leg. Hold the stretch, then shift to the other side.
- 1Feel the stretch along the inner thigh of the straight leg
- 2Keep your chest up and your weight in the heel of the bent leg
- 3Sink slowly and breathe into the stretch
Common mistakes
- Do not let the bent knee cave inward
- Avoid rounding your back to reach lower
- Do not bounce; hold the stretch steady
Muscles worked
