How to do it

Set up in a side plank on your forearm with your body in a straight line and your feet stacked. Hold the bridge while lifting your top leg up and away from the bottom leg, then lower it under control and repeat.

  1. 1Feel the side glute of your top leg working as you raise it
  2. 2Keep your hips stacked and lifted off the floor in a straight line
  3. 3Brace your obliques hard to hold the side plank steady

Common mistakes

  • Don't let your hips sag toward the floor
  • Avoid rocking your torso to swing the leg up
  • Don't let the top leg drift forward; lift straight up
