How to do it
Place one end of a barbell into a landmine attachment or corner. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart and hold the free end of the barbell with both hands at chest level. Brace your core and, keeping your arms mostly straight, rotate your torso and hips to move the bar in an arc to one side, pivoting your back foot. Reverse the movement to swing the bar to the other side. Continue rotating side to side in a controlled manner.
- 1Feel your core and obliques engage as you rotate the barbell from side to side
- 2Keep your arms extended and pivot through your hips and feet
- 3Maintain a slight bend in your knees to absorb and control the weight
Common mistakes
- Avoid twisting your knees or forcing the rotation; pivot your feet
- Don't over-rotate or let the weight control you; stay in command
- Avoid collapsing your shoulders; keep them packed down
Muscles worked
