How to do it
Start in a plank position with hands slightly wider than shoulder-width. Bend your elbows to lower your chest toward the floor while keeping your body straight. Press back up to the starting position.
- 1Your chest and triceps will work hard to stabilize on the rings
- 2Keep your wrists neutral and rings tucked close to your sides
- 3Engage your core to maintain a straight line throughout
Common mistakes
- Avoid letting the rings drift outward
- Don't sag through your midsection
- Avoid bending or hyperextending your wrists
Muscles worked
The ring push-up mainly works the mid chest, with the triceps, upper chest, lower chest, upper abs, and front delts assisting.
