How to do it

Place your forearms or hands in the TRX handles set near the floor and step back into a plank with a straight line from head to heels. Brace hard and hold steady while resisting the tendency of the unstable straps to wobble.

  1. 1The whole core firing to keep the body in one straight line
  2. 2The glutes and quads helping hold the hips level
  3. 3Constant shoulder tension fighting the straps' sway

Common mistakes

  • Letting the hips sag or pike up
  • Allowing the straps to swing or your hands to drift apart
  • Holding your breath; keep breathing steadily
